Vision-Ease Recognized with Best Employee Engagement Award
RAMSEY, MINN. (Feb. 24, 2015) – Greater Twin Cities United Way honored Vision-Ease with its Best Employee Engagement – Medium Company Award for its success increasing employee interest and pledges in 2014. The local United Way’s Best Of Awards acknowledge leading partners and their work, and were announced during the organization’s Centennial Celebration Feb. 19 in Minneapolis.
This year, beyond its annual pledge drive and fundraising events, Vision-Ease added volunteer events to connect employees with local United Way partners and opportunities. These efforts increased dollars raised by 7.5 percent and the number of employee pledges by 18.5 percent. To further help the United Way, the company contributed a 50 percent match to employee donations.
“To increase employee engagement, we offered four days of volunteer opportunities, including stocking shelves at Arc Value Village in Brooklyn Center, packing food at Second Harvest in Golden Valley and helping at the Salvation Army Coat Drive in Coon Rapids,” said Beccy Kerr, United Way Ambassador for Vision-Ease. “Our United Way Volunteer Challenge gave employees the chance to understand how their pledge dollars are used and see the programs’ impact in our community.”
